A Dressmaker's Quilt

I am working on the quilt pattern called "A Dressmaker's Quilt."  This is such a fun quilt. I love working on a quilt that allows for simple piecing, this one combines reproduction fabic of the 1800's that would have been used for men's shirting. In those days you would of course use leftover fabric and shirts that were no longer used.

I am working to make 4 sections then I will put these together and add log cabin blocks around the edges. This will be a simple quilt with great charm. I should be posting updates every few days until I get this one pieced.

2010 Black and White in Paris Challenge

I had sooo Much fun over the last few weeks, I participated in the 2010 Black and White in Paris Challenge. Since I've never been to Paris, I thought of Wine and Vineyards. I used my embroidery machine to make a view of a wine vineyard, then I added Wine in glasses around the sides. I'm sure the compitition will be tough. When I put my quilt together it was all about fun and creativity. I made this one for ME!

I had such a good time making a variety of coasters. Sometimes it's fun to step aside from Quilting and do something different.

Yeah, My Spring Mania Gift has arrived

I sent my package off, ran a few errands and returned home from the post office and yeah! my box had arrived. Here are my goodies. I love swaps they are so fun... I love making new friends, and learning about new people.
