Life's a Garden

This Quilt started with beautiful fabric blocks mixed with stripes of Applique.

The colors are Bright and Bold

I designed this quilt then made it a variety of NOW trendy fabric.

The backing is a pretty Pink

Sometimes you design a quilt that turns out so pretty.

I will definitely have to make this one again, of course not the exact quilt, just something similar!

Some Graduation Idea's

Wow! Graduation time is here again...I have been working on so many different gift ideas. Towels are just one. I also have Make-up bags, insulated travel bags, key fobs, and quilts I'm finishing up with this week.

It is always good to have pretty towels for dorm life...

Bloom Where You Are Planted

I love that saying. You always want to make the best of where you are and what you have. If you follow this thinking you know you can be a much happier person. I worked on this mini-quilt last week. It was time for a short project that was fun and easy. It is so relaxing for me to sit and stitch. I have a couple of mini-quilts that I want to make in the next few months. Right now I need to work on embroidery projects for graduation. I have a few fun projects to do. As the storm system came through Alabama on April 27, 2011, I stitched the binding around my quilt. I love the design, I've used some of these in a quilt I am miking for a niece.

The Completed Quilt

I have worker for some time on this fabulous t-shirt quilt. This was a really large project, let's face it over years you can come up with all types of really neat t-shirts that you no longer wear but just hate to loose because they each have great memories attached. I was given free rein on this project. I asked for some color choices so I would have something that the person would like. Just take a look...
It is pretty time consuming to put this type of quilt together. I choose the sew as you go method because of the weight of the quilt. Anytime I have a big quilt I like to work on it in sections.
As I have said in the past...I really wish I had all the boy's shirts from their school days. This would really be a fun way to put all of those shirts together to show them off.
I have not shared this with Claire yet, but I'm hoping she loves it.

Business Card Cases

Today I worked on a few business card cases after cleaning the house. I found some GREAT fabrics that will really show off your business cards. Sometimes you need something that looks a little girly! I listed 4 today and I should have more soon...what do you think are these something you could use?

April Bunny Mini Quilt

My new April Bunny Mini quilt kit arrived on Tuesday. How exciting to get another special block.

The fabrics are mostly pastels.

Another month  to "quilt" my fun new12 inch mini-quilt. I put together the background Thursday night...

and today I cut out and ironed the pieces to the backing, then I stitched everything in place. How nice it is to complete this cute bunny. I plan to hang this "April Bunny" on my office door. I plan to put this up on Monday morning.

I will have to make another one or two. I just adore these really cute blocks!
