May table runner

I have a beautiful table runner pattern that I finally started...

It's always fun when you have a pattern in one color wave and fabric in a totally different color wave. It means you have to think about what your reading.

I always take the pattern and write down the color changes.

Yellow and blue are always perfect together.

Over the weekend I hope to get most of the work completed.

I've put my stacks  of fabric in place and will see how it goes!

A baby quilt with Aviary II Tumbler's

I posted that this beautiful quilt was coming...I think it turned out perfectly. I wanted a very modern baby quilt for my shop on line so tell me what you think Pretty?

I spent a weekend cutting out Tumbler shapes...

then decided on the best way to piece this Beautiful Quilt

Yellow, Gray, and Black.

I thought about keeping this on at home for myself, but I am sure I will enjoy boxing it up to ship out as a wonderful Baby or Toddler Quilt for someone special.

This quilt measures 55 inches by 69 inches...

I like an over sized quilt for babies. I want it to take them from a small baby to an inquisitive toddler who likes to drag this favorite quilt along.

The tumbler shaped edge gives a little twist on the everyday straight line.

The flowers and birds are pretty...

The backing witch is not Joel Dewberry fabric matches perfectly.

The flower's and leaves are amazing...

The Tumbler shapes look good...

The colors contrast so well.

What do you think?
Could this pattern be one of your favorites?

Whoooo Goes There?

Sometimes when you see the right fabrics, you see the pattern in your head...

then you have to find the patterns and blend them into the quilt.

I knew right away that I had to merge these two patterns.

There were really GREAT Owl fabrics...

Really pretty Jewel tone fabrics...

Something to give the quilt a little Jazz...

A lot more Applique than I realized...

to take this quilt to the next level...

The fabrics blended well, and turned out better than I thought.

The Owl blocks would have made really GREAT wall hangings...

I liked the yellow as a focus color.

And I always love to put thought to the back of the quilt so it is not just the old style muslin. I always want the back of my quilts to be pretty.

Again...you have to love the owls...

So what do you think...
