Two finished Quilt Projects

Does everyone get that warm, fuzzy, happy feeling when they finish a project that they have been putting off, but wanting to finish.
I have two that I have completed and I absolutely must tell everyone about them.
The first one was made out of the Fabric Line Deja Brew, It made me want to make a trip to Starbucks the whole time I worked on it. I love to work on quilts that have a front and back design. This helps out when you leave it tossed on a chair, It looks good either way.

This is what I planned as the front.

Just a closer look at the center.

This is the back Side.

The center just a little closer.

Now I can Wash this one and find a good book to curl up in a chair and read, but it sure makes me crave a Venti Caramel Machioto from Starbucks.

My other finished project was a Valentines Day Fabric Panel that was just so pretty, I like the panel as a reminder for Springtime as well. I just could not resist mixing in pin-wheels along the top, bottom, and sides. This will be a pretty wall hanging or a very pretty quilt for a special little girl.

I really like the way this one turned out. The back of this quilt is the same as the border fabric, it just seemed right to me.

This is just a little closer view.

I feel so good about both projects I think I will finish another spring quilt. I hope it goes as well as these. I'll post it soon.

Patches on Selma Dallas County Rescue Shirts

We interrupt the quilting process to sew patches on 6 shirts. Patches are not my usual sewing plan, but it's funny every now and then someone calls with an emergency project. If this had been a real emergency you would have been instructed on where to tune for further instructions...

I'm working on UFO's with the Pat Sloan group

I planned on finishing the quilting on the top and puting the binding on a Deja Brew Quilt this week..
This was a fun project, once I completed the Front I could not resist doing a pieced back.

I have finished the quilting now and I plan to finish the binding this weekend. I will post once completed. This is one of those projects I started for myself and I kept putting it aside every time someone asked me to do something else for them, I am so happy to get this done.

Quilt Blocks are Coming along

Whew, I've had a really busy week and a half. My youngest son is Graduating on the 14th of this month so we are getting ready for this as well as preparing for college. He will be heading off to Auburn University in Auburn Alabama. Apartment hunting is going on and we are looking for a Graduation gift that is truly his...
I have started a new job at Cedar Hill at Vaughan Place, which is a beautiful facility. I had 4 days of orientation. It was a lot of fun, as the nurse, once medication and other nursing tasks are administered you participate in all types of fun activities. This week I am working only 2 days on 2nd shift to learn the routine.
I continued making quilt blocks in my spare time, I've made 60 in all. Here are the 4 corner blocks and a couple of the edging blocks. It's almost time to trim these up and put the quilt top together. I can't wait, this is going to be a beautiful quilt once it's completed.

And as much fun as these blocks were, last night before bed, I checked my etsy site http://quiltdailey.etsy.com/
to see if I had any sales, and yea!!!, I had one. I still get so excited when I have a sales.
Please check out my site and if you live in the area, this weekend May 8th, 2010, I will be participating at Valley Grande Founders Day with my Crafts. I am hoping for a beautiful day. It will be from 9:00am-3:00pm. Come join the fun.
Then....I got one more block completed, this is an online Spring Fling Block: this one was very quick and easy.

I hope everyone has a great day ahead and stop by occasionally to see what happens next.
